The Cross Roads Shopping Center opened for business in Bellevue, Washington, late in 1963. This image of the market place was published on December 12, 1963 in the “Bellevue American” newspaper.

*I was just in Bellevue this past weekend, I didn't see anything that looked like this :(

Yeah, it's been rebuilt, expanded and redesigned many times over. Bellevue was a sleepy bedroom town in 1963, and the SR520 bridge had just been completed across Lake Washington that year.

A lot has changed since then.

Love the ‘57 Merc wagon. It’s got the “Cruiser” 368 engine badge.

The three Mopar wagons (2 Plymouths and a DeSoto) somehow chose to park next to each other, as if they were organizing themselves into a military naval formation :nailbiting:

I agree. I remember when this video hit MTV. Very talented eye candy, for sure; I always liked Charlotte Caffey.

Do you still like her now?

I wouldn't get near Broadway, without wearing a suit of armor or at least a chastidy belt. The crew just recently went on a ferry (no pun intended) trip from Argentina to Antactica. What one of them dropped there seems to have frightened local penguins

That particular song has a killer base line...........

Back then, the car probably costed that much.
Female musicians are often underrated, because of chauvanistic prejudice. The following could also play a dynamite bass:

This location is the intersection of St. Paul St and Pearl St. I looked it up in Google for the fun of it and as far as buildings go, little changed; the building on the left is the same, the church and buildings and parking lot in the center are the same. The buildings on the right were demolished for a State Office Building and there's also a bus terminal on the right but I can't quite tell if there was one there in 1965 or not (the location just makes it on St. Paul St to the right, there's a structure on the street there now but I'm still not sure what bus terminals were like then.) The fence on this side of the street, in the block the photograph was taken in, isn't there paralleling Pearl St but parking spaces still exist there although the sidewalk's changed. No telling if when this pic was taken, there were buildings where the photographer stood or not; it's a park now, at least.

Clarion, PA probably in the 1950s. Photo taken from right in front of the library. You tell me how recent it can be, I don't recognize all of the cars but I suppose it's mid 50s.
