I’m sure I could find uses for it. For starters I have gravel going up the the garage that will need to be added to from time to time. I’d rather have a dump truck that I don’t use than one that I can’t. If that makes sense. I’ve gotta do I couple oil changes today so I’ll probably pick up the drum brake stuff while I’m at it

Unless you plan on using this truck regularly for heavy duty "truck stuff" I'd say the C/20 kit would suffice. If you're mostly going to be hauling the kids and their bikes to the park then I would go for the more modern solution. Drums are fine, but discs are better.

It'll even suffice, if he's hauling around gravel at moderate speeds. My dad used to fill the trunk of our six banger Olds F-85 with sand and gravel. It never killed us yet

That's nothing. I saw a guy in Memphis driving a pickup dragging an engine hooked to a chain down the road.

Anywhere else that would surprise me. Memphis? That’s par for the course.

We recently took a trip to Memphis and there were tires everywhere. Tires on the street, tires on the side walk, tires in the trees, tires up to your knees! But coming from Nashville which is saturated with yankee carpet bagger money it was nice to see some good ol’ southern trash.

Finally got enough time and money to work on the truck. Got the front drums done and I’m happy with the results. Still gotta run the lines and do the back wheel cylinders and drums. Any body got any tricks for doing the springs on these things? I have a set of those spring pliers, tried sliding it down a screw driver but the best way I found was using vice grips and harsh language. Maybe I should start a thread and call it excuses For not working on my wagon. It can include yard work, house work, family gatherings maybe just a picture of a pile of empty beer cans?? Looks like you got it okay. I use Vise-Grips if I'm feeling my oats that day, otherwise I have HF brake tools and do them the proper way. And then I still yell and scream because I need two sets of hands just to get the shoes in place.

Indeed. I have those and another tool for the hold down springs. Not looking forward to using them anytime soon

Once you get a handle on their use, they are very handy.
