    I have a set of the hood streaks in that same color for my black 54’ When I get it going they may be my summer stripes

    It only has the six banger in it. But the '54s were set up to take the factory-planned V-8s, as bolt-in swaps

    Only because the '53 and 4s were meant to have them in there, until someone at GM's top brass had to go meddle into Pontiac Divisions's affairs, by telling them that they weren't allowed to go through with dropping in the V-8s of which they prepared the frames to accept them on the production line. In other words, if a V-8 were to get dropped into that wagon, it wouldn't be unoriginal, according to the changes done at the factory to accomodate an engine of which top brass stopped from getting dropped into them
