Can be yours for 1 million dollars. https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/d/puyallup-1980-ford-fairmont-electric/6872685244.html
Wow talk about a dreamer!!!! I have nothing good to say about the seller, except to maybe go a little lighter on the left handed cigarettes.
Yeah. I don't think the car is worth $500... I assume they are trying to sell the car because none of the local wrecking yards probably want it...
Man, some people just don't have the common sense God gave to door knobs. Assuming nothing corroded away during its veggie hibernation, and could reasonably be restored, I'm sure that it's only worth half those zeroes. And eat me completely on that $500 to see it BS. You deal just like we do on our gas-powered stuff, pal.
While those "left handed cigarettes" are legal here, there is no way he's getting anywhere close to that price.
So how much metal do you think is left under all those properly "stored" lead acid batteries? Also I would have thought they would have based the conversion on a Futura, seeing as this was supposed to be the car of the Future!!!!!
Boggles the mind and staggers the imagination. As for the batteries, if they were roundly depleted when it was shoved in the bushes, there would not be as much corrosion as you'd think. Remember, the lead plates have the sulfur trioxide on them in a bath of water. A fully charged battery has pure lead in a bath of sulfuric acid (H2SO4).
He said "Eat me" completely! I love it! Not something you see every day on these posts. However, it is exhausting dealing with idiots all the time Somebody should call this buffoon and tell him that he should pay one of us $500 to see the car and to bring it to us to observe in the greater Seattle area......(and sound real serious when we're talking to him via phone)
Flagged for unrealistic expectations? Because it was a scam? I certainly felt that vibe when I read it, but why would a scammer post an automotive cow flop?
The ad's been pulled, due to terms of service violations: If it wasn't a bee-ess ad and the price was right, it would be an interesting project. Using modern- lithium accumulators and electronics would shed plenty of weight and make it a stoplight drag race sleeper. Here's an electrowagon going for only a grand: https://www2.greencarreports.com/ne...ord-fairmont-eva-electric-conversion-for-sale
If this is something someone was interested in, I would say the asking price for the wagon seems reasonable. From the looks of it the wagon is in better shape than the million dollar 4 door.
