I've never been a huge fan of the front end on these, but overall I like the car.

The only other alternative would be to bolt on a Dodge front end of which I find even worse. The rest of the car's okay, in my book

Sitting behind this wheel would cause me to forget about the ugly clip

The Dodge is better looking car in my opinion. Plymouth struggled for a couple of years with some gaudy front ends before they figured it out. I think the 64 is the nest looking of the 60's and that's not just because I own one.

I like your idea of swapping Dodge front sheetmetal onto this wagon. It would make it more aesthetically pleasing.

We can be thankfull that a front end of a '62 Polara won't fit :yuck:
I didn't think that a Chrysler front clip would fit. But, I see no width difference between a standard Crysler and those from the other two divisions. Again, this is a matter of taste. My personal preference would be the Plymouth's. Not that I particularly like it. It's just a matter of picking out the least ugly of the three choices. The Chrysler's at least doesen't have that hump. They carry a nearly straight line, all the way up to the headlights. That stupid-looking backwards turned baseball cap on Beavis's head ruins this photograph, though

I take it back, about the Polara. Supposedly, this is a '62 880:

There was some confusion, here. Dodge gave the Polara name to an intermediate, in '62 and the Dart name eventually assigned to a compact.
In '63, they tidied up the design of the now 880 a bit. Rambleresque as it may look, I like it better than the previous Dodge. But, not by a great magin:

I agree about the ‘64 Plymouth front end. I did like the ‘63 too with those stand up parking lights. I do think though the ‘64 edges it out. However I love the ‘63 wheel covers.

I was wondering if Chrysler Corporation lagged behind Ford and GM, in terms of sales, simply because of their bold designs. I wouldn't doubt that potential buyers loved to have a Chrysler product. But, were afraid of getting pinned as the oddball on the block. I was already odd. So, my coat of peer teflon would have allowed me to drive what I please, regardless of all the name-calling :dizzy:

The front is sort of ugly, but I like it now. Looks like a decent project if the price was lower.

It would be worth having, in any case, ugly or not. Think of the alternatives :nailbiting:

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. :yikes: My dearly departed daddy told me ------- "son, marry an ugly woman then no other man will mess with her." It's true. Been married to the same ugly woman for over 60 years and still haven't had any problems.:biglaugh:

All that's needed is a light switch for nighttime sessions and an ample supply of brown paper bags for daylight tossing sessions, not forgetting a pair of scissors for allowing oxygen transfer. The brown paper bags also come in handy for those aphrodisiac-filled bottles that the cops want you to keep hidden from the public eye which knows darn well what's in them already.
I'm not telling your wife, this time around. That was too a sadistic revelation

Ever notice how much this looks like a new Lexus?
And some of the Tundras remind me of a ' DeSoto.
These were considered ugly designs in '61 (and, in some quarters still in 2019), but put them on trendy Japanese vehicles...

Just think, many called the Edsel ugly! At least they had chrome bumpers.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! :D
Of course, being the 'mother' of 3 of these beasts, I must love them!
The '61 Plymouth, to me, is perfection.
