listed at Hemmings motor News #2248213 1975 Cadillac Eldorado "Shoot Brake" 2 DR. Wagon 1 of 2 factory made. Very cool car. First one I have ever seen.
Interesting.... but "Factory" made? no... it's dealer modified, just like a Yenko would be. Or those Caddy El Caminos. Looks like someone lumped a bunch of play-dough on the back of a coupe and randomly stuck some windows into it. Why didn't they ever make these where the lines of the windows and roof lines actually match up to the others so it looks like one coherent car?
His use of the word 'factory' is incorrect, he should have just used 'dealer' but he did identify the coachbuilder who made the modification in the description. "Rare and unique factory ordered through select dealers, this is a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado Shooting Brake (2 door Station Wagon). One of only two made in 1975 due to the huge cost over a standard Eldorado, my research reveals there were only 10-12 made altogether from 68-75. Taken from the assembly line and transported to Wisco for customization." Or, perhaps not, if the car went directly from the factory line to the coachbuilder.
Because, crack was dirt cheap, in those days. Imagine if they had ever gotten their hands onto some Vista roofs
