I think I paid $1500 for my old 83 Civic wagon back in the early 90’s! Fun cars with the 5 speed but I’d avoid an automatic in these at all costs. I had an 82 auto for a little bit and it was awful. Robs the little engine of all its power and I seem to recall having to manually downshift to first at a stop. Sure this would now be a Sunday driver for an enthusiast now but still not much fun to drive. Plus this 9K Canadian price or ~$6700 US is off the charts. I’d pay tops 5K Canadian for this car.

More evidence for my observation that only Civics with automatic transmissions survive. Those with manual transmissions were beaten on until they died, or rusted away. (Mine rusted. Engine and transmission were still good after 10 years, even though I abused the poor car.)

Amazing condition of the interior. And living in Beautiful British Columbia seems to have kept the body relatively clean not too badly affected by rust.

Agreed, $CDN 9k is way too high, except for a really die-hard Honda fan.
