It is. I’m sure those two original rear tires are not original. I don’t remember that size whitewall as original equipment in ‘77. I also have to laugh when he says low option waggy, but everything works. If you get heat, and Rush Limbaugh, or your favorite oldies station on the radio...... 100% of the options work.

It always bugs me when a dealer finds a car like this, tells the family it is old and only worth $1000 then lists it for 16.9

That's why car dealers are so beloved. :troll:

You know darn well that dealer beat the hell out of them cause their car was low optioned and undesirable. PS. The guy probably chews bubble gum, and has a pinky ring..... Especially when he calls it a “waggy”.

the only “waggy” dis guy does is his thumb and pinky finger when he regales the “sales force” on how he bounced those heyseeds out on their ass with a “G” in their pocket for their led sled wagon. “Yeah those rubes never knew what hit em. I’ll post this clunker on the internets for 17gs, take awh 13, and we stay fat and happy”. Keep hunting boys! Then he probably makes that disgusting sucking sound through his teeth like there’s a seed, or some of last Wednesday’s hamburger caught in between there. Lights up another cigarette, and a good days work is done.

I remember when I worked at a Chevrolet dealer while I was waiting for the company I went to work for’s fiscal year to click in September. It was right after college. That May to September was a real eye opener. Then they didn’t have stickers on trucks. So you basically made up a price on a 5x8 card. Man trucks were money makers. I remember our F & I guy. I was working a deal on a two tone ‘83 Caprice. The couple said “you don’t need to run our credic. It’s good”. The F &I guy called me and said. “Don’t give these folks keys to the John. They need to show their license to pay cash.” Means nothing, but just a funny car story memory.

Those wide whitewalls look so period correct on that '77 Plymouth it isn't even funny.

They were wide for sure, but those tires look more like 1960. Those whitewalls may have been seen on Eldogs, but I think they’re still a bit big.

Seller's description says those are 'Porta-walls' (basically 'stick-on' whitewalls.....) I didn't know you could still get them.

in any case, wide whites were 'out' starting about 16 years before this wagon was built.

    I think he's over-valuing the 'nostalgia option'..........

I would love to know how this plain jane 77 Pymouth survived to 2019 in what appears to be pristine condition. Glad it was cherished and saved and all that - but who did this and why ? That story is much more interesting than the wagon.

I know. I’m always am amazed by car stories. I would think, with it’s replete list of options some old couple, or guy bought it new and they just did not drive the car, but he wasn’t by-golly gonna have a lot of useless goo gah on it. Maybe it was even their 2nd or 3rd car. Obviously like many of it comrades it wasn’t a salesmen’s sample hauler and had the pee knocked out of it in two years. God bless it. It made this far.

I always, maybe wrongly assume that when I see a really low budget car. Is that an old person bought it and didn’t want all the goodies, or a young person bought it and couldn’t afford the options, or it was a fleet job. With low mileage I always side with older and just never drove it.
