My boss had that exact car. Loved riding in that thing.

Nice color combo. I like the "halo" vinyl tops these cars received, no vinyl on the A-pillar.

The rear bumpers are known for poor quality steel/plating. Other than that, these are great cars.

You’ve seen enough of my rants and raves about Reagan era big cars. But man if I could go back to 1983-‘87 and buy up some cars. I don’t honestly think I would know where to begin or end. I just can’t believe we took cars like this for granted.

I agree Bill. Imagine grabbing one of these loaded to the hilt - vinyl top delete. Dark blue. Even the Caprice coupes were pretty darn nice. In my neighborhood, there is a superduper nice (it would have to be an 84-85) Olds Delta 88 Royale Brougham (that's a mouthful) coupe in dark blue and it only comes out sparingly - but man, I get pumped when I see it cuz it's just so nice and original.

As for what Bigboats said, yeah these GM B and C cars had a habit of rotting through in the middle of the bumper. I guess from the road salt. Another car that had these same issues were the Connie's that we like from the late 70's, but they would rot out where the supports for the bumper was and the whole darn bumper would come off!
