76 Montego - Parking brake release

    Folks,
    The parking brake release cable assembly is missing from my 76 Mercury Montego. Is the correct part number D3OZ2A760-A?

    The one you're showing in the pics should be correct, as it looks like the brake release handle I had in my '75 Elite, which got swapped to my '74 Ranchero Squire, when its release cable broke

    Here’s an update. I’ve installed the part mentioned (NOS). It was the right part and matches the handle for the vent control right next to it.

    Here are some observations from the install .... I had to reposition the green holder by 5mm to allow the cable to align with the existing screw holes on the dash. Also, the bracket that the cable end hooks into was very sharp and could easily fray the cable over time. I smoothed out the edges to hopefully help extend the longevity of the cable.
