What an incredible car. Truly looks new. John Bosley would be proud to drive it. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ctd/d/oakland-1978-ford-thunderbird-16k/6781991645.html
One of my favorite car colors. There was a member who sold a Cougar Villager in this color, and I just agonized over the fact it wasn't mine.
The 1978 looks much better in comparison as to price. https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/aurora-1979-ford-thunderbird/6794133523.html
As long as it's bright green shades, not that drab drivel of an olive green GM used back then, just about anyone can get to liking it. I had a '77 Granada 2-door with that interjor color, and the two-shades-lighter green paint, so I know I can welcome that T-bird if I had the scratch and the yen.
Green is a personal problem for me, growing up as a military brat I had enough green in my life by the time I was 10 years old. I sometimes forget most others did not have that experience.
I like the way these cars look from the front, but I have never really cared for the way it looks with the side window, center window and then rear window. Always seemed disproportionate to me.
I grew up in a military green household (Dad was a Seabee CEC officer), along with the buzzcut hair. But, green isn't just green; as I pointed out, the GM olive green is disgusting, but the bright 'forest' and 'emerald' greens sure catch my eye. Imagine the T-bird is a gorgeous Irish green-eyed redhead in an emerald green dress. You'd proudly have her on your arm as you walked down the street, would you not? I definitely would, and I would constantly compliment her on her choice of color for her wardrobe. That would be me driving that T-bird.
