He probably has that much into it, but I agree even if the conversion was finished it would be a tough sell at $15,000. No way with that much work to be done. And most people looking at a vintage Pontiac would not think the LS engine swap was a plus. But it would make a great Daily Driver in the summer, but I would want a OD trans and fuel injection not a Holley 4bbl on it. If I went to the trouble of swapping in a LS engine, why not take advantage of the 20+ MPG the engine is capable of?
There's a reason it is not selling. https://newyork.craigslist.org/stn/cto/d/pontiac-lemans-wagon/6212787040.html
Many new pics, and the interior looks great, but at that price, go ahead and put a front end on it. https://newyork.craigslist.org/stn/cto/d/1977-pontiac-lemans-station/6583542496.html
Looks like it is finally completed. Nice looking, but the no AC would be a deal breaker for me. https://newyork.craigslist.org/stn/cto/d/1977-pontiac-lemans-station/6699092405.html
I think GM got a lot of push-back from prospective buyers on these. A 'regular' style tail gate would have been preferred. With the totally slanted rear end though, it would have been very hard to engineer a side=opening door function like Ford had (and GM as well, on the big wagons, beginning in '77....). So buyers who objected either moved up to a 'box wagon', or headed down the road to their local Ford or Chrysler Corp dealer.
