Nice car but I believe the 69-70 models are more popular with collectors, especially with 3 pedals. The 71-73 models were much larger cars. Up about 400 lbs over '70.

Yup. I did not like the '71 - '73 Mustangs, specifically because they got too big. They grew with each new generation, up to the Mustang II. Went too far with Gen 4.

The 71-73 Mustangs have always been my least favorite of the "first generation" mustang. However, they have grown on me considerably over the past few years. Having spent time behind the wheel of a 73 Mach 1 this summer I have really come to appreciate them. I agree with MotoMike in that they aren't as popular as the 69/70, which in turn means they are more reasonably priced and therefore more attainable to the average car fan.

I think 71 is the best of the three years, and this one looks like an excellent example. I'd take it, no question about it.

I enjoyed my Lilac & Flat Black 71 Boss 351, but I can't say I really liked the way it looked, and other than no rear vision out that back window with the louvers & rear spoiler it drove very well.

This is the car that convinced me that the 71-73 sportsroof could be a good looking in stock form.
