I like that rearview mirror setup... is that off a particular car or do they make an aftermarket setup for that?

Aftermarket. I actually just installed something similar.

I put in a hardwired backup camera over the license plate, connected to the rearview mirror. the mirror has a small screen in it that comes on when the car is in reverse. When it isn't in reverse, it looks just like a normal mirror. It also has the auto-dimming feature, which is really nice!

I can pull up exactly what camera and mirror I bought, if you're interested.

Please do. I've got 2 cars that I could definitely do this conversion for!

Here's what I bought after a WHOLE bunch of research and study. You may want something different than my setup though.

    Camera. ~$26.

    Add a fuse. ~$7

Mirror. ~$170. (This exact one is not currently for sale on Amazon, but is sill being sold elsewhere, including the company website.

There are many similar mirrors out there that are about the same price and functionality. If you want, you can even find them with compass and temperature readouts as well.

For installation, I had to take out pretty much all the interior trim so I could run the wires above the headliner.

Since I had everything out anyway, I hardwired in my dash cam, as well as adding 5 more interior dome lights with LED bulbs.

My licence plate lamp stuck down far enough that I couldn't install that camera right in the middle using the licence plate bolt holes, so I had to install it offset a little. Then, I ran the wire under the car over to the passenger side tail light, and ran it in the rubber grommet that the tail light wires run through.
Once I was inside the car, I wired it to the backup lamp connector so the camera turns on when the car is in reverse, and ran the rest of the wiring up to the front.

I did have to notch out the front headliner trim a little, so the mirror wires and the dashcam wires could fit through, but you cannot see that notch out.
For power to the mirror, I ran the wire down one of the front windshield trim pieces, under the dash, and over to the fuse box, where I used that add-a-fuse kit. It has been SO nice to be able to see what's behind me with that camera in the mirror, and I do love the auto dimming feature for night driving.

Hope this help, and let me know if you have any more questions!
