    I kinda like it also, very rare model, according to Wiki only 9001 Newports were sold in 1980 2nd worst production year, only better than its last year 1981.

    The dashboard on this Newport made me think how similar it is in design to a 1958 Imperial I saw at a car show just this weekend. That odd, slant wedge design is, um, unique.

    Comparable in design. Didn't mention anything about character or quality of materials. The downward slant of the two oval dials and the general shape of the horizontal steering wheel suggest a similarity to me. But to each his own.

    In my opinion, it looks like a much more 'modern' car than my '81 Pontiac, which does make sense, because this Chrysler was designed a few years after my Pontiac.
