I'm not a Caddy guy, but I was very impressed with their design where I could sit behind the wheel and not have to play giddy foo-foo electric seats to be in a comfy driving position.

I've had a 2001 Eldorado ETC since new - love it. Only was disappointed when I had to have the Northstar V8 rebuilt at 130k miles due to well-known design flaw that GM never corrected.

*smiles grimly* Yeah, I remember that. Plus the headache of the starter replacement.

Yeah, Caddys have a pretty well deserved black eye reputation for that Northstar engine. I shy away from any era of that car that has it and hasn't had the fixes applied (and still side-eye the car even if it has).

That front seat sure looks like more than 38K miles...but to be fair the quality on these at this point was pretty lacking...

The reason as to why the seat looks that way could be due to an owner leaving no space between his belly and the steering wheel
