HMN vintage photo of the day.

I see a 1970 Chevrolet Kingswood Estate and a new Toronado as well as a new Lincoln Continental.

Is that a Rover 3500, at the end of the second row? I see a what looks to be a '72 or 3 Toronado, in the 4th row, 3 spaces left of that early 60's Rambler. At the end of that row, there's a VW bus

Looks like a Willys Wagon as well.

 

I see a brand new White Vega, and another brand new ugly green Firbird

 

Here's what it looks like today, per Google Earth. Parking lot has been turned into Pioneer Square. (There MAY be an underground parking structure here - I'm not sure....) Pic is oriented the same as the '71 pic.....

 

I can't be sure, I'll have to show the pic to my older sibs, but we may have been there, or a similar place in Portland, back in '68. I just don't know because it's a high-angle shot and I was a low-angle kidlet.

 

And they wonder why everyone complains about there being no parking downtown...

 

I love all the two-tones (I probably missed a few), and I note the guy with the hood up (arrow). I guess people had trouble with these cars even when they were new.

 

I count 8 wagons. Did I miss any? I think that's a wagon (brown car) under the left Chevron sign.

 

You missed the Blue VW Square Back in the 3rd? row (same as the green Firebird) And the 2 tone willies. I cant tell if the black car where your #4 is, is a wagon or not.

 

Maybe the guy with the hood up can't get it started cause its too cold? there is snow
