Recently picked up a new 1968 Ford Country Sedan. Many things work well. However, the window washer spray does not: "just does nothing". The windshield wipers themselves work fine, along with all other lights/electronics in it other than the dash lights.

Any suggestions on to how to start troubleshooting this?

    thanks!

The pump/motor on the reservoir usually dies. The plastic parts deteriorate over time. Yours may be enough like one used on a Mustang from that era. Check images online to see if it's a visual match.

Also, the Torino/Ranchero may be close enough, as well as you should google "obsolete ford parts" and check with those listed, such as Green Sales Co.

Trico still sells replacement pumps. They may have the in-tank unit, but we always just used the universal unit and stocked 2-3 of them. They mount in a convenient place and use the existing hoses and wiring.

You say it "just does nothing'. Does you hear any sounds? Keep it simple first IMO, it's old car, I've had many that is was nothing more than a clogged line. See if the reservoir is clogged, then the lines.....that is if you hear no sounds of something trying to work

Thanks for the info everyone : I've been so busy, I only tried it once when I bought it, and at the time, I 'didn't hear anything'. I'll use all the mentioned ideas to begin troubleshooting when I can. Again, thanks.
