"in the market for a Station wagon" you're too much you know I'd sell mine in a New York minute for 8grand, and then I'd probably get another Grizz I think we suffer from addiction ps - this is the car I posted on Wagons are Scarce
Don’t be telling everyone after this weekend i can go check that thing out. More weekend road trips! Indeed. I think anyone who is a regular on this forum is a sick individual. I’ll say to people “so, I’m on this station wagon forum and yada yada yada, and so on” and the response is generally the same “your on a what now?!”
I called about this wagon not long ago. There were two ads on Craigslist. One for $2500 and one for $2900. The gentleman on the phone talked very fast and had a Spanish accent. I told him I was interested in the wagon. He quoted me another price of $2800. I asked about the mileage. He quoted me "144,000", then "114,000". When I referred to mileage in the ad, he told me that was it. I asked a few more questions about the car. On the last question, he was talking so fast I couldn't understand him. When I asked him to repeat it a third time, he hung up on me. Based on the number of ads below that have been posted, the price depends on what day you call. I have a hard time trusting used car dealers. And this guy is one of the reasons why.
He's trying way too hard in some ways and not anywhere near well enough in other ways. He needs to read a few good sales books to get good at it, that seeming unkindness and haste ain't going to transfer well to business.
based on pictures, for $1800 I wouldn't care if didn't speak at all; all of us know enough to know there is work to be done on this car - assuming frame is not rotted - doesn't look like it would take much to get to a 4500 car
1987 *Mercury* *Grand Marquis* $1400 CASH!!! COME IN TODAY!!! WHAT A D - $1400 (Doraville) hide this posting https://atlanta.craigslist.org/ctd/d/1987-mercury-grand-marquis/6473562481.html Ok, what's up with this? $1400 - something has to be wrong with the car?
A 30 year old car on a buy-here-pay-here lot? Fast-talking salesman? Can't confirm the mileage or the price, which may be too good to be true? I can hear alarms going off in my brain. You'd better go over this car and the title with a microscope.
