Model Car Group posted on their Facebook page, that BoS (Best of Show) will be releasing a 1/18 scale 1971 Olds Vista Cruiser this summer. They posted this photo on their Facebook page. No clue why the car has 80's Z-28 wheels. BoS models are available through Model Car Group and American Excellence. https://www.american-excellence.com/?p=list&manufacturer=BoS-Models BoS is the company that has been making some nice looking 1/18 scale cars lately (including a 57 Buick Cabellero and 64 Olds Vista Cruiser), but the cars have no opening features nor any detail on the chassis.
"No clue why the car has 80's Z-28 wheels." Could it be it's because it has 4-wheel disc brakes? I looked at the rear axle, and I would swear it has rear discs, for which the axles may have come from another, more modern prototype.
They have posted a photo of the model with the plain ugly 71 full wheel covers. What it really needs is the Oldsmobile Rally wheels.
A little later than expected, but it looks like the 71 Vista Cruiser is finally available. https://www.american-excellence.com/?p=details&i=214158
A second release of the 71 Vista Cruiser in 1/18 scale is now available at American Excellence. This one has the stock wheel covers. At the moment it looks like it's on sale. Regular price is $129.00. Don't know how long the lower price will be in effect. https://www.american-excellence.com/?p=details&i=222636 OLDSMOBILE Vista Cruiser, gold / wood optics, Limited Edition 504 pieces, 1971 18% $106.56 $129.95
To get any of the discounts (which A. E. has frequently) you have to sign in, but it's easy to sign up. They get some cool resin 1/18's. I just purchased the '40 LaSalle coupe for my collection (was my dad's first car)
