I had a 74 Gran Torino Wagon in 1982 when I was a 17yr old new driver in New Jersey. It was actually a pretty cool looking wagon (to me at least) and I loved it. I have had a few 1970s vehicles in the last 35 years but have always wanted another wagon. I recently found a wagon that I just had to have, a 1973 Chevelle SS and like my Gran Torino from back in 82, I love it.
And I love it too! I also love Pensacola. I just got back from there and Panama City. Stayed at the paradise inn. The room was really nice and I witnessed a bar fight around 2am while standing outside my room smoking my last cig and drinking the last beer of the night. In Panama City I had my first encounter with bed bugsnasty business. Welcome to the forum!!!
Welcome aboard Bertmech! That is a nice looking wagon you have there. I like the color and the wheel choice.
The gran torinos are pretty cool. I've always like the later 60s torinos, they have sleeker/streamlined styling.
Very nice wagon, Bert - and it's sure to be a collector's item. Chevy only offered the 'SS option' on a wagon ONE YEAR - And you have one. your wagon looks to be in excellent condition. I've seen pics if '73 Malibu SS wagons that are, shall we say, in less than desirable condition.
Welcome aboard, Bert. That is one cool and rare '73 SS wagon. I've never one in person, but have seen them in books and magazines. Nice score...and tastefully done.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that listed on the Atlanta craigslist as a clone? Either way, it's extremely nice. Made me wish I hadn't already bought a 71 and 72 that both need work.
It is a sweeeeeeet wagon! Although i think someone stole Burt’s computer shortly after he made this post. Either that or he forgot his password
