WOW! Somebody must be paying attention. Although the market for longroofs is rather small, thus the cross-over title, It is on the rise. I like the look of the new Buick! We will see how well it's accepted in the fall.....Longroofs Rule!

My Impala will be four years old by then. Depends how the Buick looks up close and personal. So far I like todays Buick's better just because of the glitter and contours.
Back when Buick's were real cars I drove lots of them. Maybe they'll add real portholes!
If only they were made in America where they should be. Of course my Impala came from a place called Canada but bought it at a Buick dealership.

I still like it...................... But............ (Both models will offer front pedestrian braking, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, OnStar and and seven-inch or eight-inch touchscreens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.)
My wife has never driven and I'd be afraid at times she'd hit the brakes just because an 18-wheeler or bus full of drunks gets in my way!
All of that other crap is also useless. Just more to go wrong. I usually adapt my cruise to 5 1/2 MPH over the posted speed and don't touch anything except the steering wheel, my coffee cup, and maybe a Big Mac.
Maybe if they start building them in Detroit I'll reconsider. I heard there are a few empty buildings up there not being used.

I reread the report. front pedestrian braking That means a pedestrian causes the brakes to apply. So any critter larger than a grasshopper will set the brakes? Those sudden unplanned stops would make me spill my beer and drop my hotdog! I have survived this long without a car parking by itself, stopping, telling me I'm "off rout off route" and other things. I suppose it will help stop accidents when we are texting or lighting a cigarette.
Makes me really not rather have a Buick.

I was confused by this at first too. Who comes up with this stuff. I guess they are slowly conditioning us to get used to automatic automobiles. Which I’m all for. I could consume three times more beer and hotdogs if I didn’t have to hold onto a steering wheel. If I was driving one of these Buick’s I wonder if it would do a front pedestrian brake stand when I mashed the accelerator. The add should read “front pedestrian braking, unless they deserve it. For that we have the ‘front pedestrian cow catcher’”

Why should Opels be made elsewhere? The Buick badge is homemade. Isn't that enough?

I was at the Buick dealership a couple of weeks ago and one of these was there. It was dark blue in color and loaded to the hilt! It also had the turbo on their four cylinder, which is the highest output motor they currently provide!? Me personally, I think as sporty a car it is,it should have a six cylinder option and a all wheel drive option also . Perhaps the powers to be at GM, in their infinite wisdom will wise up to provide those options. I'm not going to hold my breath though!...Longroofs Rule !

GM is probably taking a wait and see approach, for the first model year. If sales meet expectations or beyond, the all wheel drive V-6 wagon (estate) version delivered to Oceania might thereafter be made available for the U.S. market:

Or cause them, depending on who's hacking your vehicle. And I don't mean the Jackasses who launched that roadkill, in the other thread. Unproved, or rather, intentionally botched investigated assassinations are suspected to have taken place, through remote tampering:

Still have yet to see one on the street. We do have a Buick dealer in town - a real small one. Suppose I could drive by.......
That silver / grey color - not the most appealing on this.
