There was a Craigslist ad in Monroe, MI listing this wagon. Didn't even last 1 day. He said the car was rust free from Florida and was not running. Price $2900. Obvious rust around rear quarter windows and the car is likely not wearing its original paint with the green spare tire well. The car looks kinda rough and is missing some trim. What are non-running solid Clamshells going for nowadays? I'm assuming this was gobbled up by a derby guy.
Looks like the one from Washington? State that was on eBay a couple weeks ago. It along with several others in a field.
Good eye! Exactly the same car - I should have remembered as a I posted originally. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/1973-pontiac-grand-safari.46176/
Looks like he hit it with the leaf blower after bringing it to Michigan. Even if this wagon ran like a top... it's worth maybe $1500-2000 to a derby guy? This appears to be too far gone for restoration. Strip for parts then bang it up.
Looked back at the ebay sold listing. Sold for $770. Trip to MI maybe $1000. So approx $1200 profit assuming it sold for asking price. Not bad when it appears not much of anything was done to it.
Not on my watch!!! If I were given this car, I'd tidy it up and run the wheels off of it as a parts chaser and DD. Why bang it up? The ones we have left are scarce on the ground - even out here in the desert Southwest......
