The colony park is back in action after almost three years in storage. Gave it a quick wash and some 303 on the vinyl and a couple cans of seafoam in the tank. Idle is still just a very small tad off but that will work through after a tank or two.
Few more shots after a three day polishing job with roof rack removed and reinstalled. Also had two wheel lip moldings hammered and polished straight.
The rims on the wagon are early eighties vintage. They came with the car and unfortunately the hubcaps nor original rims came with it. They were never clear coated and were quite dull When I got the wagon. I brought them to a wheel shop that does restoration on rims and they did a digital scan of each one and after painting them the same colour of the car they remachined them then shot them with a clear coat. Even that shop liked how they turned out and I was the first time anyone had requested that treatment to that style of rim. I get a lot of compliments on them.
I like the wheels too! They catch your eye, but don't distract you from noticing the rest of the car. Very nicely done.
Heck now I have to get some full side glamour shots posted. I think my little girl is blushing now, you guys staring at her underalls.
