Needs work but well optioned. $2300.

454ci, 400 trans, power-brakes,steering,locks,and windows, cruise control, dual exhaust, interior is worn, body has a little rust but pretty straight for the most part, drivers door needs replaced or really good body work, working on getting brakes maintenanced, oil change recently done with amsoil n filter, new timing chain kit also installed due to old bad design with the plastic on the teeth. Previous owner is working on finding title and was original owner. This would make a nice lowhotrod cruiser. Fourfour34four0six. Price is obo. Give me a call or text to schedule or if any questions.

Probably not a big deal. Most states will accept a bill of sale on a vehicle this old.

Actual front end may vary based on differing pics.

If they cannot find it take the old registration and his ID to the DMV and get a duplicate title.

There is a simple form (attached, if you want to look at it) to complete to get a duplicate title on a car already titled and registered in New Mexico. The state DMV will just send the owner a copy of the title in the DMV's file. As noted, he does have to have the most current registration certificate. The cost is $5.00. I don't know what the procedure is if he has no registration certificate.

This seller could apparently take care of this problem in about 10 minutes at his local DMV office if he has all his paperwork, and he ought to do it as the car will be much easier to sell. Or, to put it another way, it might be impossible to sell without it.

I don't know that the state will accept a bill of sale as proof of ownership because there's no indication that the seller was legally entitled to sell the car. Therefore, the state won't accept the transfer of ownership as valid. I don't think age of the car makes a difference. I recently titled my '78 Toronado in New Mexico, and I had to jump through just as many hoops as anyone bringing into the state a more modern car would have had to do.

That might be an interesting point that he's using Amsoil motor oil, that's a top tier synthetic which I'm using in 2 vehicles. I wonder what that oil will do to such an old engine if it hasn't had all the gaskets replaced, though.

I had one in high school and let it get away because I didn’t appreciate it the way I should have. Mine was a ‘74, but I’m flexible on the year so long as it has the disappearing clamshell tailgate.

Welcome to the forum. Could you please make an introduction post in the introduction forum? Also, you might want to avoid the 1971 models (or maybe not; ) they have the one-year-only vent system with louvres in the tailgate which might allow exhaust to come back in the cabin. I'm not sure if that was a big concern on the Wagon models or if it was just the Sedans and G.M. canned it quickly (they did have the same louvres on other cars back to 68 so I heard.)

On wagons it was not a big issue as the exhaust comes out the left side of the car.

And the 71’s look sooooooo cool
