Did not have an optional engine, so it has to be the 400 two barrel. (350 was not available on Kingswood Estate). Look at that factory stereo tape system option - cost almost as much as AC.

Those were still relatively hard dollars, being that the transaction took place only a year after Nixon allowed counterfeiting. I never knew those factory stereos costed that much. No wonder Chuck C. used to go out at night. Then show up at highschool with a stereo he bagged. He once offered me a fat juicey Motorola stereo with 8-track he extracted from some Chrysler New Yorker or the like for 100 bucks. It had Quadrophonic speaker hook-ups or the like, also. The warning light on my mental interface, downloaded from my Christian upbringing, suddenly lit up and I ended turning down the offer. It was tough doing so. Especially, at 16. That thing looked so good. It must have been much more expensive than the one on your price list.

I agree. Even though we really like our wagons, sometimes it's easy to forget the other classic cars that become available once you are in the 15-20K range. For 16K you can get a decent 71-73 Riviera for example.

Like given to above, because of at least a full sentence following the usual "I agree".

I'll go out on a limb and predict bidding will end even lower this time. That's how it typically works on repeat auctions.

Works the same way in the vehicle salvage auction world, as well. I sometimes see the same vehicle go through the auction three weeks in a row. Bidding amounts rarely go up on them.

We'll see. Currently barely outpaces the 2nd auction at $13.6k.

Bid to $14,425 this time - auction over - reserve still not met - this seller is a fool, if the bidding is legit. (A big "if.")

Any bets on how soon it will reappear?

Good idea. Maybe, we should have a betting sub-forum using bitcoins as payouts. Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen.

Cool. I wish my wagon had that build sheet with it... I don't think I have ever seen one of those before.

    SOLD today at $17,000?

Owner is a fool if he does not take it, if the auction is legit.

I think we have already established that assuming that the bidding in the previous auctions was legitimate.
