I emailed them this morning and have not heard anything still and have checked my junk folder just in case. This seems to be the norm for me during this search so far. I will try to re-email them I guess if i dont hear from them by Friday night. They seem to have a good amount of classic vehicles on their website. Maybe the email contact is on vacation knowing my luck. Hey MAK did you get to see the undercarriage? I asked for them to send me some pics of it since it is a NorthEast car. Is there anything else you can remember off hand, thanks

One other thing. The fact that some of their pictures are in the snow tells me they've had this wagon for a while, at least since winter.

sorry never got as far as to ask about undercarriage, have they had this car for a while - absolutely - I talked to them late November/ early December, they were very nice. Remember this car is in Maine, average temp in Nov is high 48 low 26,
there 1 snowfall last year was in October.
Haven't been to Maine in years but seem to remember that they don't use a lot of salt - too cold - use more cinders, which might beat the heck out of you car but doesn't eat away like salt.

mllsy - never emailed them just picked up the phone and called, believe I talked to Tim Stentford, like I said its the velour interior that I really didn't want, and at the time the 400 plus the 700 to have shipped to Virginia was just a bit much.
Kind of short sighted as when all said and done I'm in my 85 for over $6500. cost, shipping, repairs,
There are some negative reviews on ripoff report on this dealer, but not extensive and realistically would be weary if they had none. they are selling 20 to 50 year old cars at what I think are fair prices, they are not concour show cars. Have been retail for over 40 years - at time consumers have very unrealistic ideas on products.

Still believe assuming that the undercarriage isn't swiss cheese, this car is ok. blow up the phots look at the bottom of the doors - does not appear to have rusted or repaired - good sign

Update, sent a second email and got a response. They will be taking undercarriage pics for me soon. They answered my questions also. We will see, might have to go on a roadtrip. We got knocked out of the playoffs this week so i have about 2 weeks before Fall basebaall starts and football starts on Aug 7 so i will have to try to get up there Aug 12/13 if possible. Really depends on how the undercarriage looks, then test drive, and inspection. Sounds far fetched but maybe one day i will be a full pledged member here with a WAGON!! Could this wagon tow a 3000 lb camper? Not sure that would be a smart idea but just wondering, thanks.

So i have looked at a couple of cars in person and also got undercarriage pics from that $9900 wagon for sale at the dealer and all of them had way less rust then this wagon. Here are the pics he sent me, I see a good amount of rust and I wont be going on a roadtrip, I will continue to look. I have more pics but they wont load up. IMG_0273.jpg IMG_0276.jpg

I've seen worse, but that's still not good to see in a wagon you might want to buy. I'd pass too.

    Not good, I'd walk
how about this: Car was auctioned off in April this year - was mentioned in the forum back in March?
    1985 Buick LeSabre Estate Wagon
    5.0L V8, Automatic, 88K Original Miles
    PA Inspected until May 2018
This car is just plain awesome! The condition is outstanding and is a true time warp to the 80's!
Brand new muffler, ball joints, front and rear brakes and idler arm.
I wanted to make sure this car is 100% perfect because I plan to use it and enjoy it with my family. That is what this car is all about.

Thanks MAK, it doesnt list AC in the options. Can you tell by the pics if it has it or not. The exterior condition is very nice, the interior has the cloth but as long as someone is careful it should hold up. I will see how far it is from my house and email the seller with the same questions and ask for undercarriage pics. Thank you for the link to the ad.

It has AC but Tony S that works there will not send me pics of the undercarriage so I said others have had no issue sending me them. I attached the photos above and he said I see no issues with those pics am I missing something so I said yes you are not sending me the pics I am asking for. I explained to him that I live 3 hrs and 40 mins away and I am not going anywhere until he sends me the pics I asked for. WTF is the problem with these dealers. This is happening as i type, i think im done with this guy. The place has a service shop on their website so how hard is it to put the car on the lift and snap 3 pics. Fing feedup with these aholes

So here is the emails, i guess it was too much work for him to take pics even though he has a service dept, ha i think he is not happy but hey i didnt waste my time and gas money. Now i get to spend that time with my son next sat. Keep posting the wagon ads and i will continue to search.
What? Here is how it works, I will need to drive it to the shop we use to put it on a lift. I have to wait for them to have time and I will have to pay them to do it. For a car I am selling a loss I would rather not have to shell out $30 for some photos for a guy that isn't serious about the car. You might be serious but my car will look like those photos and if that doesn't work for you why should I waste my time and money?

Solid car. AC is warm but I have not tried to convert to the new system. I've driven this car, it runs and drives extremely well and is in need of nothing. We put a lot of work into the car.

I have owned 16 years over the past 45 years, can honestly say the last time someone actually "sold" me a car was when I bought my 72 Alfa, since then its pretty much me telling them what I want and what I'm willing to spend, as a retailer I have always been appalled at the level of the sales staff at car dealers. unbelievable
