around California in the '93 BRW. A friend from Germany , just retired, is staying with us for 3 weeks. San Diego to Sequoia to Yosemite (car was stuck-did not start due to heat and vapor lock for about an hour!!-otherwise just fine cruising) , Gold Country, Lake Tahoe, Sacramento (for business), then back down via San Francisco, Monterey and Pebble Beach plus 17 Mile Drive, Santa Barbara and then to the Nethercutt Collection. I wanted to see this exclusive and exquisite collection for years. In Sylmar, north of Los Angeles. I have seen quite a few collections around the country over the years, but this one is an absolute must if you are in the area. It is one of the top 5 private collections in the world. The museum and the guided Collection tour are free of charge!!! The Nethercutts make/made their money from Merle Norman Cosmetics-since 1913!!
always love taking the wagon on the road ...plus I do have to say we get lots of compliments on it-people are finally waking up to seeing wagons again-brings back memories for them too
Looks like a great trip! Monterey and Pebble Beach are incredibly beautiful, like out of a fairy tale. How are you liking the Roadmaster? How would you compare it to the 1976 Caprice?
like the Roadmaster a lot but it does drive like a newer car then the 76 Wagon;however, the true feel of a wagon for me is still the 76
That looks like an awesome trip and what better vehicle than a wagon to take it in! Looks like you made some great memories of your own as well as conjuring up some for other folks who admired your wagon.
