BoS (Best of Show) seems to be the company most likely to make American station wagons in scales we seldom see wagons in. They already make a 64 Olds Vista Cruiser in 1/18 scale and a 57 Buick Caballero in 1/18 scale. Recently they even released a 58 Buick Caballero in small 1/87 scale (HO scale) which is about 2" long. It looks like the next wagon to be released in 1/18 scale will be the 1962 Chrysler Newport Town and Country 4 door hardtop wagon. 1/18 scale BoS models are about a foot long. They are resin replicas which means no opening features like hoods or doors. They also have a very flat toy-like chassis. They do however look outstanding with nice paint and normally perfect proportions. What is visible is highly detailed. They are expensive and are probably limited editions. They typically run a little over $100.

I just recieved this model and it is really beautiful. It is a resin model and highly detailed. If you are familiar with the Brooklin series of 1/43 cars, this is like a super-sized Brooklin. It's hefty and goes well with the other BoS models I have ('65 Imperial and '75 Imperial). They have a georgeous '40 LaSalle convertible I got my eyes on right now.... Not cheap, but where else would you get the subject matter BoS has? Impressive in any curio cabinet....

Yes, that is a beaut too. Get on their mailing list - every so often they have good sales with 10-20% off. That's how I got my three BoS's. Otherwise, I think 120.00 is just a little too rich for me. At 94-95.00 it's easier to swallow. These are definitely a luxury "treat-myself" kind of thing. Yes, it does seem like they like their Imperials (and Mopars in general)
