Camper tape may work as a substitute. I've used it for sealing heater boxes and blower motors. Great thing is, it has adhesive on one side, and is more dense than the foam you usually find. You just need some that is 4-5 mm thick, but you find it at camper/trailer places.

image.jpeg image.jpeg I used closed cell foam tape so it wouldn't hold water. I bought it at the hardware store, it's the stuff for doors and windows. Different thicknesses and widths.

Check McMaster-Carr. They have a ton of different sizes of adhesive backed foam on a roll. We use a lot of it at work to seal electrical enclosures.

The white tape is actually rubber tape not foam. Don't use open cell tape it will hold water.

We use closed cell foam. They also have five million different types of adhesive backed rubber strips if you want to do that too.

Camper tape is closed-cell. Getting it at McMaster-Carr in different sizes is cool.

That's always fun when the radiator shop says "Swiss cheese, get a new one" like you can just pluck one off the tree outback!!
