This past summer I found a station wagon for sale on the local buy and sell as a demo derby car for $300. Took the hour drive to go check it out and it was pretty rough. Sat in a farmers field since 83, windshield had a hole the size of a softball in it and the interior was shredded.
I handed the guy $250 and came back with a truck and trailer.
I'm not restoring it to factory fresh, I'm making it a nice cruiser/daily driver.
So the stock 302 and c4 were pulled and a GM 5.3 and NV4500 are on their way in. I had them for an amc pacer that I was going to build but is too far gone.
The engine was pulled apart and refreshed, the displacement on demand was deleted and an ls7 cam was swapped in.
I had pulled apart a Lexus ls400 for the drivetrain to swap into my truck and pulled the interior at the same time because it was in great shape. The front seats required some seat rails and have to get a power wire so I can use the seat heaters and electric adjustments. The rear fit great as well, with the seat back being a couple inches too high so I will be making a panel to cover the area the stock ford seat back doesn't cover.
The spare tire well was completely rotted out and there were two big dents on the drivers side that I am working on.
4 wheel disks are in the plans as well as some new paint once the rust is taken care of.

God bless you for fighting the good fight, saving another car from those derned devil worshiping demolition guys. They should all be quarantined and they're blood line culled. I'd like to see the Lexus seats in there! Welcome sorry about the harsh language. I just get excited sometimes:hmmm:

Little progress done, I found a 67 country sedan with a great body and a shot frame so I swapped over the good 67 body to the good 68 frame. engine and trans are mounted. Need to get an f150 driveshaft shortened that has the proper slip joint and the wiring for the engine finalized. I bought an HPTuners setup to delete the VATS, secondary O2's and mess around with the tune once I have the harness done.
I picked up a full set of '07 mustang GT brakes and the rear mounts are at the machine shop across the hall at work so they'll bolt up to the 9" and be spaced correctly.
I found a windshield, but it was for a 2 door so I didn't fit.
I have all of the guts from the tail gate from the 68, it worked but was very dented, the 67's window motor has a stripped gear so the 68 stuff is getting swapped in.
no new pictures, next time I get over to work on it I'll grab some.
