I love it. It is obviously very high optioned. I cannot be certain due to the angle of the pics and none showing the left side of the interior, but I wonder if it has power seat? If so, I cannot imagine it lacking many other options. We know it has tilt, cruise, power windows, power locks, luggage rack, 3rd seat, cornering lights, lower door courtesy lights and original wood-grain car. I love it. I wonder if he would trade for a 70k mile '91 Deville? ;)

I agree. If you want this vintage of car with all the bells and whistles, you'd be hard pressed to find another that doesn't obviously need major work. If I was still in the market I probably would have gone to go look at it as Charlotte isn't that far of a drive.

I didn't think $8500 was unreasonable for what it is, so.....

Just to update you on this one... I bought it about ten months ago for $4,500.00. Did some very minor mechanical repairs, put the original wheels back, replaced the headliner, wet sanded and polished the paint and replaced the woodgrain...

Cool! Glad it got a good home. I like the looks with the original hubcaps. The color combo reminds me a lot of my '72 wagon and my '73 Grand Ville, though a bit darker. Will look forward in seeing some updated pics. A '72 Grand Safari with wood-grain and 3rd seat is one of my favorite wagons! Excellent purchase!

Found the woodgrain on Amazon... made paper templates then used those as patterns to cut the panels...

I'm extremely happy with the way this car has turned out. Every button works now down to the cigar lighter. Get him on the highway , set the cruise control and he will float down the road at 70....

Awesome. The tons of options make it even more "grand" in my opinion. Enjoy it! If you ever decide to sell her, holler at me if you don't have someone else in line interested. I always said I would never sell my Grand Ville and dont want to sell my Kingswood Estate, but I think I would sell both my '72 Kingswood Estate and '73 Grand Ville I think to own a loaded '72 Grand Safari. ;) I had searched for one for years and I would find one with wood-grain and no 3rd seat, or one with 3rd seat and no wood-grain. I wanted both options. lol. Finally got that combo though when I bought my Kingswood Estate... took me forever to find one.

There was a '71 Grand Safari in a local junk yard for years... white with wood-grain, loaded with everything but 3rd seat and someone had robbed the engine out of it.

It looks like you have another Pontiac there in the pic of your wagon... a convertible. Is that yours as well? They are great cars, my '73 Grand Ville has been an awesome car. I just don't drive it much.

As far as I can tell he has all the options except tilt wheel, has a/c but no climate control if that was offered.. Power windows, locks, six way seat, cruise, am/fm radio, but I have a new radio installed in the glove box for cd's, etc...

The GrandVille convertible beside him is a 1973, LOVE that car!! As for selling him, it's my belief everything is for sale!!!
