It's no Electra but it's a start. http://hooniverse.com/2017/04/05/2018-buick-regal-tourx-the-buick-wagon-is-back/
Our oldest son and several of our friends all have Dodge Caravans. We sorta like them. Easy for old farts to get in and out. Came very close to buying a new red Dodge a few times. Then realized I don't have 27,000 miles on my Impala which had 20,000 when I got it two years ago this July. Three thousand plus was between Ill and Fl. So I'm not driving enough to need a wagon or a car. We could take a cab. In reality all of these "wagons" are mini van hatchbacks with low roof line and short overhang. There will never be another real Buick wagon. If there is it will have wide whites, portholes, and a rear wheel drive V-8 made in USA,
whats the length and wheel base of this wagon? probably not that big, as with most wagons... I'll stick with my 121 inch wheel base and 223.4 inch overall length in my barge.
Should take a few sales away from the Subaru Outback, which it will compete head-to-head with. Based on appearance, I'm guessing it's not going to have quite the amount of interior room the Outback has......
There is nothing the Automakers can build that will compete with the old wagons, but these new ones are not suppose to. With all the regulations in place for more safety, better fuel economy. If they were to build a Caprice like I had now.it would not have moved out of the design phase.
If they can make a big huge box of a Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator... that looks like a station wagon that got pumped up on steroids and ate too many Krispy Kremes, then I would think they'd be able to hack the design down a bit (leave the OAL but cut height in the windows, and doors, etc) for a station wagon.
That is part of the reason I have a 1998 Expedition gobs of room for me and the wife along with our 2 dogs. To be a older one I get decent gas mileage 17 in town and 20 hwy
That thing is pretty sharp. I like the shape and proportions. I'd definitely drive one of those things (in about 20 years when I can afford one).
