Was watching an old episode of Columbo and tried to figure out what his car was. In this episode he was driving it with the top down, but I don't recall it being a convertible in other episodes.
It is a cabriolet, but in most shots the lighting's dark and it's hard to tell that it is one. At some point in the series, the top was either torn or missing? I seem to recall a season or two with that.
I've read that there multiple Peugeots used in the series but I've never seen one and they must be rare. On the very first "The Rockford Files" in the parking lot next to Jim Rockford's trailer at on the beach there sits a Columbo Peugeot or something that sure looked like it. If so I'm guessing the studio needed cars to put in the lot for the scene and grabbed it.
