Like a bad penny, bad horror movie, and a bad nightmare I am BACK.... After fighting some health issues and now we are planning a move back to NC or SC. Once back I will look for and buy another wagon to restore, I sure have missed them. Right now we are driving a oversize rollerskate called a Expedition (1998) and a smaller rollerskate a 2000 Mustang Convertible. Guess which one will be staying in Oklahoma?
Welcome back......... I guess. You better get outta Oklahoma before you get blown away. I've always loved the Smokey Mtn area. Also love Florida. But health makes old people do silly things, like move. Good luck driving the Mustang.
Just be glad Norm isn't here or the pot would boil over from stirring too much. I guess you can say I fall into the middle age category or as AARP says I will into my 's and a senior citizen.
Norm and a lot of other helpful productive members seemed to fall INTO the pot. It's been quiet around here for some time. I just can't do it all so glad you came back. Those of us left to guide the new members don't really stir the pot, we just sort of mix it up a bit. Even Tedy's getting too old to do much since he's pretending he has a job again.
I was hoping to see some of the old gang but life has the usual way of taking over. Norm was restoring his wagon and doing renos on his house. Rev was buying all the wagons that followed him home. I just wish I hadn't been gone so long I missed a lot and still have a love of wagons. I can't wait to move back home and pick up another one for cheap and start fixing it up. I don't like to use the word restoring much because it's a long and drawn out process.
Last we heard Norm was still remodeling his house and Rev was trapped near the back of his massive collection trying to figure a way out. Sadly others seemed to just disappear, sell their wagons, or get upset and leave. Sadly my wagon has been sitting here in this Illinois garage since early Jan of 2016, suffering from a thin layer of road salt that no one seemed to notice until July 2016 when we moved. I peek in the little door window every now and then and get . Photos don't show what a film of salt does to chrome, stainless, paint, and other car parts. Don't have the energy or ambition to redo it. Considering finding a shop to completely go over it. But with all the horror stories and time involved I'd probably need a hearse instead of a wagon.
Yeah reno's take a long time to, last I was told he was putting in a lot of wiring along to fiber optics. Do we need to do a air drop of food to the Rev? Hate to hear a lot got mad or just left there was a lot of good people here. If I was closer I would help you clean it up and fix what needs to be done so you could drive it I can zip around pretty good in my wheelchair. To get on the ground or floor I just fall out of it
Hey!!! There you are! Isn't this supposed to be in the Welcome Thread??? Glad your back and healthy again. back. Happy moving.
