1977 volare stalling problem

    If the plugs are black and oily looking they need to be replaced. Even sandblasting them won't clean them. We used to have to change 50 - 100 sets of plugs from cold snaps before computers took the foot out of the cold starting process. Also, pull your dipstick and smell the oil. If you smell any gas odor, change the oil and filter or you'll wipe your bearings from reduced oil pressure.

    I will have time to work on it tomorrow. Thank you. Also, carb is jetted for sea level but now at 4400 ft

    Something else I remembered, check the firing order it's 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, I've seen 5 & 7 accidentally switched numerous times and it does cause a bit of a rough idle.
