    My wife and made our annual Christmas tree pickup event in our 1989 Crown Vic SW. The guy at the tree place said, "pull your car up and I'll put it on top." I pulled up and said, "just slide it in the back! " As it disappeared inside the car I saw a woman and her Japanese 2-door with her mouth opened.:yikes:

    Ahhhhh! It just makes my day.

    I'll bet that surprised a lot of people. We can put a three foot fake tree in a box in our Impala sedan.

    Fake tree? I gotta ask, is it one of those gaudy aluminum trees with the 'frond' branches that shock you any chance it gets? We had one of those when I was a kid; these days, every time I watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and Linus knocks on the metal tree, I'm reminded of that. Anyway, Everybody have a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and If you're gonna travel this or next weekend, please drive safely, soberly and calmly. Make it to your destination and back home without a scratch.

    I got up early to make sure the doors were locked and the chimney was covered with barbed wire. Our three foot fake tree is lighted with care even though we're the only two grouchy old people to be there!
    "Git offin my roof with that thing and clean up the deer poop!":christmas:

    No matter how few or many you are with this Christmas stay safe, eat a lot, and tell everyone about how great station wagons would be for hauling all the gifts home. HO HO HO!;)

    Driving one mile to pick up #2 son and wife. Driving four more miles to daughter, husband, two dogs, two grand kids, and oldest son and wife with grand baby. A small group but our first real family Christmas in 23 years.:biggringi:
    Son in Florida called and Dolllie's last living brother called. It's beginning to look a lot like a 50 degree wet Christmas in Illinois.

    Don't rub IT in! I check daily what the temperature is where we lived in Florida and friends still are. A week ago we had wind chills below -20 and ice on everything. I'm tough in my old age. I love Illinois!:evilsmile::coco:
