400 V8 with 3rd seat. Looks very low option otherwise. https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/5886332160.html
In the seller's dreams, maybe. But, in fairness, if he priced it much lower it likely would end up as derby bait, and it looks solid enough not to deserve that fate. Still, the lack of options should turn off many prospective buyers.
Shell will sell for $3,000. Then part it out for around another $750-$1,000. Sad to say but it's probably about right around that price
Personally the options never bothered me they are cool but not a "must have" deal breaker. I'd drive it dents and all! I would try to pullem of course. 3000 maybe more to the right guy for the shell if it's rock hard is NOT out of the park at all.
This car will die as demo car. Someone may buy it and use it as a beater/driver for awhile but it's going to get sacrificed.
That's what I would do. I would buy it drive it, and get a useful life from it for a good few more years. Then sacrifice it to the derby gods.(selling it as I don't do that anymore). They make a GOOD truck probably the best wagon FOR that ever made. (Towing wise). Chevy's are the gold standard of all the clams and do get a much higher price.
Can somebody please explain the economics of derbying a car? Do you really get that much money if you win? How many times could you conceivably run a car like this before it is toast?
Up to $10,000+ dollars. I have seen these cars back in the day go 12+ heats and features, but they did not pay as well back then and you can build a lot harder car now. So they don't last as long usually.
