Anyone notice the date stamp on the photos. 2010. If they're accurate, those pics are over 6 years old. Still, that could be a beautiful wagon. One of my favorite year models, plus the hide-away headlights.

Think I could get $8500 plus cross country shipping costs for a pint or two of blood? I don't know how else I could come up with that kind of scratch (legally) -- not doing so well in the lottery.

Six years ago the woodgrain -- at least what you can see in the pics -- was in remarkable shape. I'm almost afraid to ask what size engine it has. I have my preference, but I could live with anything that could come in this car.

My guess is that if doesn't sell on craigslist and it goes on ebay, it will be priced at $10K or higher.

The good thing is that at the asking, it's probably too high for a flipper -- not enough markup room.

It would be a better ad for the car cover than for the car underneath it.

It figures... that's my engine preference. Best engine available for this car, IMO. Many years ago, I test drove a two-door hardtop with a 302 and it was fine, but I'm thinking it might be just a little light on torque for the wagon. Then again, it may be perfectly acceptable, since this is a unibody car -- weighs only about 3700 lbs. Still, I think the extra power and torque of the 351C 2V would be welcome and I don't think there's too great a penalty in economy. The 4V version and the 429s are, of course, much more powerful, but thirstier and with their high compression you have to worry about pinging on today's gas.

Looking at the pics of the engine compartment makes me question whether this car is worth quite as much as the asking price. Seems to me it ought to be a bit cleaner under the hood for that kind of money.
