Depreciation: These new cars are the biggest losers in one year

    As he notes, all cars depreciate. It's just that some do it faster than others. If you're someone who trades his new car in every two or three years, then this is an issue. If you keep it for five or six years or more, then you're no worse off than if you had bought a slower-depreciating car. In the end, the slower-depreciating car catches up to the faster-depreciating car, and they all get down to scrap value eventually.
