    Interesting custom camper.

    Seller says:

"We are known for being brutally honest and are happy to give our opinions as to whether or not the prospective vehicle is going to meet your expectations. We suggest research of the Pinzgauers and Unimogs prior to purchase. To put it in perspective.....you are looking at a Pinzgauer that thru approximately 40 years of production, produced less than 28,000 total units. A point of comparison.....In 2012 the Jeep JK platform produced 191,961 units!"

What do you think they're trying to tell us here?

It's nonsense, because the comparison is apples and oranges. The Pinzgauer is a military truck, the modern Heeps are civilian SUVs...no comparison whatsoever.

Pinzgauer did not have a good marketing department?

Beats me. Maybe they're trying to say it's a low-production military vehicle (thought that would have been obvious) and parts are hard to find. Or maybe Steyr-Puch didn't get all the manufacturing bugs worked out due to the low production numbers. Or maybe that it's a 40-year old vehicle and the buyer shouldn't expect all the mod-cons of a new vehicle. If so, why not just be "brutally honest" and say so instead of beating around the bush?

Anyway, from the one user forum I looked at, seems that the Pinzgauer 710M and 712M aren't especially prone to problems. Actually sound kind of cool to own. So I still have no idea what the "brutally honest" seller is trying to say.

Ooh, now I want one. But at, oh, $7K to $14K, I won't be getting one anytime soon....
