Hi, I am working on a 64 plymouth belvedere wagon for a neighbors estate. It needs a new gas tank. I have removed the tank strap and it does not seem to want to budge. Also, once I get it out where would I source a new one? I have never seen a gas tank on its side and so jamed into a space. Thanks for your help ahead of time..
I have a 64 Fury, but have never had the tank out of it. So though they are the same, I can't provide much help in that regard. I'd be interested in knowing more about this particular car though. Good luck in your search for information.
Pull up the cover in the rear compartment, See if anyone made a floor repair, common rust spot in those cars.You just never know what the PO did.
I hope he got it out, been a month. If you've never seen a gas tank on it's "side" and jammed up into a tight space you are not an official wagon guy.
