Hi - I'm a new member. I'm a longtime 60's Ford enthusiast, but to date have largely had the small Falcons and Mustangs. But I've always wanted a wagon (Think Clark Griswold). Somehow the stars aligned, and two 1967 Ford wagons were available on Craigslist. The first buy was a 1967 Country Sedan. It has been an occasional driver, but needed some rust repair. That's been done, and bodywork started. I'll repair the interior (just a few ripped panels) and respray it the original Sauterne Gold. It's a 390/C6 car. I've got some dog dish wheel covers as well. This one is a project with a buddy, and will be eventually sold. The other is a 67 Country Squire, and it's a personal project. It's Candyapple Red with red interior, and it also a 390/C6 car. It has a small bit of rust in the spare wheel well, and surface rust on the fender tops, roof and hood. It is very complete. Unfortunately, this car went off the road in 1978, so revival will be a chore. I love the red/wood color combo, so worth it I think. The pistons are soaked with MMO, so hopefully it turns over soon. The interior is a mouse house, so that will be torn out along with the headliner and all interior panels for a thorough de-stink. That's my story. I'm nearly done with a 1965 mustang coupe, and want to tear into these projects soon. I'm sure I'll have questions for you all... Thanks - Dickson
Welcome. It sounds like you have a good plan going forward. I am a fan of the FE motors, so a wagon with a 390 is about as cool as it can get. The only thing that makes it better is that it's a red car.
Interesting projects good luck on them. When I restored my 66 7Litre I sourced alot of pieces from http://www.dearbornclassics.com/ you may find some repop pieces for both 67's.
