Afternoon ladies and gentlemen, would like to introduce my self and my 93 caprice woody. Few things about me, I love wagons and have always owned them. Before the woody I only own import wagon due to my obsession with manual transmissions. As time went in my wagons grew larger in size. I always loved the b body with the skirt and when I found this woody I jumped on it. And was 99% happy with it only thing it was an automatic. So I just like any gear head I pulled my 350tbi and started dropping in a turbo 5.3/ t56 swap just to give her a little more. Every question I posted on Google kept leading me to this forum so why not join, cuz I found just about all my awnsers here Lol. I would love to share my journey with other wagon lovers like my self.

Mmmmm...power adder. Do you think the 5.3 turbo/ T56 will be about a pound-for-pound swap with the 350/4L80E?

Why do you ask that?. 4.8/ 5.3 go all day long for 200-500 dollars but a 5.7, 6.0 start at about 1200-2500 here. So the with the price difference I can make more power with a modified 5.3 than a stock 5.7 at the same price. My 5.3 is forged, ported and polished heads, with valve upgrades, trunnion kit, 660 springs and so on/ staged 3 T56 build. But it's really all in what you want as far as power.

Welcome Frasierraheen! Love the look of the green paint with woodgrain plus tan interior. I'm usually a "keep it all stock" kind of guy, but my compliments on how you carried out the stick shifter. (y)

    Welcome to the forum!
I really like this one in particular. I really like the exterior color/wood combo, and the wheels look great. They really fill the wheel wells nicely.
I love the fact that you swapped in a more modern powerplant with a turbo. Of course, rowing your own gears only makes the experience better.
Keep us updated on your progress.

    Welcome aboard!
That is one sweet looking B-body. It certainly will be a unique one at that with the 5.3 turbocharged LS engine and T-56. Keep us up to date on your progress. I'd like to see how your project turns out and what the performance figures will be like with your setup.

Long time coming but I'm 99% percent done. Just waiting on the tuner to come by and put a base tune in her. So I can work out any bugs before the real time.
