Sorry, but there are too many lies and misleading statements on this car. Radio, antenna, cruise... I wouldn't trust them.
I heard good things about this dealer and he does have some killer condition cars, but (and that's a big but) this had a top bid of 18,100, which is pretty long $$$$ for these cars (70-71), so it's relisted. Smells to me like someone may be using a shill. I don't know, everything is private.......you can't tell. This car is neat though, in all white.....
This thing is relisted again. Maybe someone ought to tell this guy what top money is for these cars. I like these beaky T-birds, but they don't bring even cigar-bird money.....
He's had a '78 Buick Skyhawk (admittedly in great shape) listed on his website for a while now at $13.5k so he is not likely to take your advice no matter how good it is.
I have generally found that when I give advice on vehicle pricing to someone who doesn't know me, even after I give them a bit of background on my experience, that it's about like talking to a brick wall........
Yup, and it's all because of the Benjamins. Most business owners don't have formal business training, and therefore, they think of getting the high scores all the time. However, home runs don't always win the game if only one or two players are able to get those runs. Having a good mix of quick turners and a few wworthy cars thrown in will keep your doors open more easily than having a bunch of overpriced stock and waiting for the one sucker to buy it.
up to 18,100.00 with less than an hour to go. This is like the third or fourth time around ebay for this car, always with the same result. I wonder if ebay has safeguards in place to investigate bids, even if they are private bids like this. Or maybe that's why they're private - to look the other way if shills are used. Think about it, wouldn't it be some kind of fraud, if someone was bidding on this car against a shill? Ebay is supposedly a binding contract.....This can't be good for the seller, you have message boards like this talking about this and word does travel fast between boards. Look at me, I'm also a PITA on other sites too!!! I'd like to have this car....but knowing what i know, there's now way in hell I'd bid on it now.....
Can't speak to this one specifically, but there has to be some shill bidding going on. How many times do we see some nice vehicle going up on auction again, by the same buyer, right after what seemed like a legitimate winning bid? Sure, some flake buyers out there, but more than likely a lot of dishonest sellers.
Another one I don't believe as to bidding. It is not original. That's a 1971 grille and seller cannot be bothered to replace burned out taillight bulbs on a car he claims is worth at least 10 grand? The baked and cracked dash pad is not top dollar either. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Ford-Thunderbird-/162126169662?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
Here's one more likely to bring its price, especially with the sunroof. Incredibly rare factory option sunroof for 1971. Has the very rare sunroof as well as leather buckets and power seat, but not power windows or d/locks. Really unusual 1971 Thunderbird. https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/5730621717.html
