Why why does the motor look red? Maybe it's my phone but it sure looks red and not orange

the engine compartment, and floors sure don't look like 2700 miles. if 102, it looks nice.

Yeah, for 2700 miles it should be spotless in and out. It also has literally zero options.

Why would low miles equate to spotless? It depends on how it was taken care of over the years. The engine has the correct hose clamps and hoses, they would never go over 100k without being changed, load area isn't torn up, seats are good, no rust. It may be hard to believe but I see no good reason to doubt the mileage.

All Chevrolet engines in 1972 were orange, not red. If truly that low of miles, why did they mess with the engine color?

Two things seem odd. The wagon is in a garage with a cement floor yet the drivers floor looks muddy. If nothing else, spend ten minutes to clean it.
The rest appears very nice and possibly the correct mileage.
The red engine with peeling paint just does not seem correct although I have no idea what's right.
As mentioned, hoses, clamps, etc look factory original.
Personally I'd rather have a vehicle that has some miles on it than one sitting so long. Seals and gaskets will most likely be shrunken and soon leaking.
    They are always a gamble.

Possibly legit. In and out to start it every week. The price is a little fetch.

If you want $18k plus, you can certainly detail it.

It might have 2,700 or so actual miles, but it certainly wasn't cared-for all that well when it wasn't on the road. That engine compartment and the rest of the wagon should be spotless if he thinks it's worth $18k.

That year, the Chevy engines were still orange. Peeling red paint looks like 100k+ the 2xxx alleged miles.

If you look past the red paint on the motor and look at the engine bay it appears super clean. Look at the fender wells and then all the original hose clamps and such. I wonder why the motor is red, it looks like they painted the intake and valve covers only. Look down by the exhaust manifold. It appears orange still. And it still has the exhaust manifold locks on the bolts.
