    I'd have to see the fender tag and the build sheet. The 1981 MY was the fewest of the the '79 - '81 R-bodies built - Just 6,548.

    This is pretty nice and prolly worth the $6500. Let's just say acceleration is probably leisurely. These things always reminded me of Lincolns!

    I could see myself in this.....

    I think someone got a real deal. If nothing else, that New Yorker is very photogenic. Beautiful inside and out.

    These would have made a terrific wagon - about the size of my '81 Safari, but more luxurious, better power from the 360, and cleaner styling. Don't like the 'wood' on this photoshop, but here's generally what it would have looked like:
