I have a 71 plymouth satellite wagon. Has anyone tried to make the rear quarter panel glass roll down? I haven't tore into the panels yet to see if there is room to add tracks for it to roll down. Any advice?? Or tips??

It wouldn't go all the way down as the wheel wells take a chunk of that space. What about a different mod? Say roll-up reflective shades on each side to cut down the Sun load on the car when sitting? And/or, flip-up rear quarters to access the cargo area without climbing over the back seat. Even making them vent windows, using Caravan minivan gear?

I just thought it would be cool to have everything roll done. We're about to put a 440 in it and put it on air bags. Just having fun with it and making it a little crazy w shaved doors and suicide rear door

Not worth the trouble. We have a 1941 Ford 2-door. The previous owner fixed the rear seat windows so they won't roll down. Never a problem even here in Florida without AC.

Go take a Caravan apart (I suggest 1995 and newer) to see how those are put together. Then look at S-10 Blazer rear glass, see how those are put together. At least you'll have an idea if doing something would work without big work.

Don't forget spare tire well on right side and I think gas tank is behind wheel on left side. Maybe better with some sort of slider instead of up - down.

I'm not opposed to doing fab work and moving things. Maybe flip up and brace to the inner roof.....hhhhhhmmmmmmm

How about sliding windows like they put in the rear of pickup trucks? Seems like I remember a 50's wagon that had that feature for the side windows.

And don't forget: in addition to fabrication of all the car Windows windshields since the first one ever made, glass companies can make custom panes. Expensive as all get out because they're one-off, but doable.
