Sad when these wagons are just used as flippers to try and make money.

I wonder what the dealer did to the wagon that makes it worth 8K more?

Flippers are Scum-bags !!! They keep entry-level guys out of reach from getting into these cars.
It's ALL MONEY to them. While this car is beautiful, I think it looks like it may have been hit in
the front Right fender. Even the wheel well molding is kinda bent. And corner light is for sure out
of whack. Still, nice car. Too bad it went to Flipper-Ville !!!:tsk::tsk::tsk:

    So,
The guy that bought it in November wants to make $8,300.00 in less than 6 months for doing nothing..????
I mean, I thought $14,200 was kinda high. But, I just don't see $22,500.00 for this car. Nice, but really....:slap:
And it says "Flipper" all over it...... Just sayin'.......

It is OK to make a buck if you do something to improve it in some way or travel across the country to get it but if you think you will get rich just turning them over you are living in fairy land...

Anyone else think these bids " Might " not be legit...????
I mean last time on Ebay it ended-up $3,000 less than it's presently at, and nothing has been done
    to enhance the value...????

Weird. There are enough little differences to make me question if these are the same cars. Hemmings car has a trailer brake controller (could have been added easily enough though) and removed the inline fuel filter. The ebay auction pictures clearly show the odometer at 32.7k miles. You also cannot see the defect in the wood grain on the rear driver's door that is present on the ebay ad. There is also a script on the upper left hand side of the tailgate on the Hemmings car that isn't there on the ebay car. The radiator and shroud are different. The Hemmings car doesn't have a radiator overflow bottle. No sticker on the top center of the radiator support on the Hemmings car. Clamps on the breather hose from the valve cover to the air cleaner on the Hemmings car that aren't there on the ebay car. The heater hose on the ebay car has text printed on it, but the Hemmings car looks like generic parts store hose. The brake master cylinder cap is different as is the brake booster. Normally I'd say the seller changed the parts, but the ebay ad shows what appear to be newer replacements, while the Hemmings car show more original looking parts. One could easily change all of the items mentioned above, but you would have to be pretty hard core to just change those little things for the fun of it.

That is excellent detective work indeed, Kevin. Lt. Columbo would be proud. And it appears you are correct - not the same cars.

The one from eBay has color-keyed seatbelts. The one now on HMN has black. But what are the odds that such similar 50 year-old wagons would exist and be on the market within a year of one another?

It is quite striking how similar they are to each other. Certainly at a quick glance and even a relatively close look they appear to be the same car.

Elementary Watson. Someone tried to corner the market in Turquoise 68 Chevy wagons. Now they are selling.
