Makes me wonder how many reproduction 'TV Batmobiles' there are out there. Of course, the original Batmobile started out as the 1955 Lincoln Futura show car, which George Barris purchased direct from Ford for ONE DOLLAR in 1965 or '66.
To justify that purchase, you would basically have to go into show business, doing 'appearances', rent it out for commercials, etc......
I can do that. Now who's gonna loan me the money to buy it? I can appear on stage and tell dirty jokes while sitting in my Batmobile.
Too rich for my blood, and that's awfully expensive for a car you can't drive in the rain? I think I could afford a replica Batmobile Parachute Pickup Service van.
Soooooo,, How many replicas are around.... I dunno... But I bet the ppl listed below do know..... https://buybatparts.com/cms/
I can't Justify the Price, but I once knew a guy with to much $$$ in Oh10 that made a beautiful Batmobile out of a wrecked 1975 Grandville Wagon (same Wheel Base as the Lincon) I helped him with the needed Pontiac Parts for the project. He spent over $150,000 Building the car, had fun with it for about 5 years, and then Sold it to Jeff Dunham! for more than he had into it. Back in 2009 we went to visit him and he gave my Wife a ride in it for her Birthday. Here they are coming back from the ride with our Old Impala Wagon in the forground. One thing he did not figure on was the fact that you always had to take it to shows in a covered trailer!!!!!! He once drove it to a local Childrens Hospital for a Fund Raiser and to give the Kids Rides When a Thunder Storm Popped up and got very wet on the ride home!
